A Good Start
We’re only about fourteen hours into the new year, and I’m already feeling good about it.
Because how can you not feel good about a celebratory meal of sushi and cheesecake on New Year’s Eve?
Or laying on the couch with your best friend, in your sweatpants, and falling into a fit of giggles while watching Kathy Griffin banter with Anderson Cooper?
It’s easy to feel good about taking your sweet time waking up, then making eggs, bacon, and homemade banana chocolate chip muffins as your first meal of 2012.
It’s even easier to feel good about taking advantage of the 55 degree weather (!!) and going for a nice, long walk.
Lessons to take away from the new year thus far: it’s easy to feel good about life when you have good food, good people, and good times surrounding you. Good weather is just the icing on the cake.
Happy 2012, everyone!

I went out today without a coat!!! It was lovely
If every winter day was like this, I would be a better person!
I have enjoyed the weather too!! Which makes me ‘wonder’ why I’m wishing for snow tomorrow!!!
I will take a snow day over a 55 degree day this week. Without question!
You have pretty feet…that is all.
And my toes aren’t even painted! BAM!
You guys are so sweet. Happy 2012!!
If by sweet, you mean gag-inducing ; ) Thank you, though–and happy new year to you, too!!
Happy 2012!!
Same to you!!
Oh you two are too cute! Love it!
Haha don’t encourage us—we’re sickly sweet! ; )
those muffins really do look like the perfect way to start the year!
They look puny, but they were delicious!
