The Little Things

September 7, 2011

Sometimes, it really is the little things that make up a good day.

Like a roomful of twenty-nine teenagers laughing at your cheesy jokes and actually understanding appositive phrases (also known as a good day in the classroom).

Like a hella-good workout, even though you got six hours of sleep the night before and are absolutely exhausted.

Like the brand new US magazine to get you through that hella-good cardio session.

(Don’t pretend like you don’t read trashy celebrity gossip at the gym. Liar).

Like breakfast for dinner:

(Two eggs with hot sauce, sweet potato “fries” with cinnamon and ketchup)

Like a good piece of chocolate:

filled with gooey caramel

Like bubbles

(riddle me this: why is carbonated water so much better than regular water?)

Like a good book, just waiting to be devoured:

Like this guy coming home a day earlier than I was expecting him to:

(cute, right?)

Like tomorrow already being Thursday. Man, I love me a four day work week.

Note to self: don’t underestimate the power of the little things. They pack a powerful punch.

What was one little thing that made your day today?

Choosing (4 weeks ago) the only flight from Raleigh to Baltimore that wasn’t cancelled last night due to the storm 😉
